On Tuesday, February 23, 2021 Judith M. Blower, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend stepped into eternity at the age of 73.
Judy was born on October 10, 1947 in Akron, Ohio to George and Delores Blower. She was a career educator serving Akron Public Schools and Church at Stony Hill Preschool for over 30 years. Judy pioneered the Animal Management Program at Ellet High School. She became mother to her lovely daughters Brigid (Fischmann) Harrison and Claire Fischmann. The joy of her life was her grandson Jude.
Judy's magic was her capacity to provide safety to those in need of a friend. Her students found a heart large enough to hold their troubles. Judy's nieces and nephews experienced her magic through playfulness and her undaunted delight to be with them. She was always ready to marvel her siblings and their spouses with her vast knowledge of trivia. As a person of faith Judy embodied the incarnate Christ by her willingness to enter the world of those in need. All who knew her have benefited from her thoughtful and robust shopping sprees.
Judy loved everyone, but she loved her grandson and daughters best.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents George and Delores Blower, Tammy (Rippetoe) Blower, and those children who graced our family for too short a time.
She is survived by her two children Brigid and Claire, grandson Jude, nine siblings, their spouses, and a throng of nieces and nephews. Family will hold a private celebration of life at a future date.
