Judy lost her courageous battle with cancer after a 5 year fight on June 9, 2010. She was born October 13, 1944, attended Akron Public Schools, graduated from North High School in 1962, and was a member of St. Martha's Church. Her favorite pastime was gardening, making silk florist arrangements, and traveling to Tennessee and Colorado to see her daughters. She worked at Yankee Bionics, Summit National Life Insurance, and retired from Dominion East Ohio Gas Company in 2005. Preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Frank Meier; and brother, Richard Meier. Judy is survived by her husband, Gary, who she lovingly devoted 30 years too; sister, Dennis "LuLu" Meier; daughters, Kelley Lumpkins Arnold, and Stacey Lumpkins Lentz; sister-in-law, Charlene Meier; and numerous special friends. After her mother passed away, she was a caregiver for her sister, LuLu, with Down syndrome for 15 years until she was diagnosed with cancer. She has always put people that she loves before herself, and will be sadly missed by everyone that loved her.
In Life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place,
That no one could ever fill
It broke my heart to lose you
But you didn't go alone
For part of me went with you
The day God took you home.
Your loving husband
