On Wednesday, December 29, 2021, Judith Ann Huth (born Sirota) received God's ultimate promise of eternal life and was welcomed into Heaven. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family after a lengthy and courageous battle with breast cancer. Judy was born on May 22, 1943 in Akron, Ohio to John George Sirota and Helen (Garnick) Sirota. She attended Akron Garfield High School, where
she graduated from in 1961. Judy then went on to attend the University of Akron where she received her bachelor and master's degrees in Elementary Education. In 1964, Judy married Charles Martin, and they had 3 children together, Charles (Lauri) Martin, Laura (Ed) Pearce, and Nicole (Dow) Wolfe. Judy later moved to Mogadore, Ohio where she eventually met Elton (Duke) Huth whom she married on
April 27, 1985 and were happily married for 36 years. Judy worked as a teacher for Akron Public Schools and retired with 30 years of
service. She specialized in reading and took great pride in helping children who were struggling readers gain confidence and competency in their abilities. She attended Mogadore Methodist Church and was actively involved in Naomi Circle with her church friends whom she loved dearly.
Besides being a good and faithful servant to the Lord, Judy's greatest source of pride was in her role as mother and grandmother. She was happiest surrounded by family and loved hosting get-togethers where she could cook and entertain. She loved playing board games and euchre and it was her greatest joy when her grandkids stopped by for a game. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events and one of her favorite things to do was boating on Portage Lakes. Judy's warmth and love will forever be present in the loves of her life, her
grandchildren Edward Norman Pearce , Abbie Nicole Pearce , Charles Edward Martin III (Chas) , Nathan Charles Wolfe, Sydnie Kay Pearce, Luke David Martin and Andrew Oliver Wolfe. Judy is also survived by her two sisters, Dolores Perry and Margie (Ed) Burke, as well as loved step-children and step-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Jan 8, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 at Mogadore Methodist Church, 3828 Mogadore Road, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 and lunch in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Pelotonia.org (search rider Lauri Martin, in memory of Judy Huth). Pelotonia supports cancer research.
