Judith (Judy) K. Mills
Judith (Judy) K. Mills, 69, of Akron, passed away October 13, 2009 after a courageous battle with multiple illnesses. She was born May 1, 1940 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Clyde & Vera A. (McNickel) Schmitt. Judy loved her family very much and enjoyed cooking and watching the Food Network. She attended the Ravenna Assembly of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Karl H. Mills; son, Karl H. Mills, Jr.; and daughter, Kimberly Kaye Mills. She is survived by her daughter, Tami (Greg) Mulkey; sons, Larry (Kay), Tracy (Tracy) and Duane (Kim) Mills; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph (Connie) and Michael (Bernie) Schmitt; sisters-in-law, Sally Heinl, Eleanor Harris and Phyllis Mills. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Beck officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to Duane E. Mills at any FirstMerit Bank for the Judith Mills Memorial Fund.
