Judith L. Midcap, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in her hometown of Akron, Ohio. Born on May 7, 1955, Judith was a vibrant spirit known for her infectious laughter, warm heart, and the ability to light up any room she entered.

A proud graduate of Springfield High School in 1975, Judith carried her joyful spirit into every aspect of her life. Her remarkable personality meant that she never met a stranger; she approached everyone with openness and kindness. A true social butterfly, she loved to engage in conversations, share stories, and remember everyone's birthdays, ensuring that no one felt forgotten.

Judith found immense joy at the Community Center, where she spent three days a week mingling with friends and embracing new connections. Her eagerness to meet new people and engage in activities reflected her passion for life and her love for community.

Among her many interests, Judith adored collecting bears, each representing a cherished memory. She also had a special talent for crocheting beautiful blankets, particularly baby blankets, which she lovingly crafted for anyone celebrating a new addition to their family. Her creative gifts were a testament to her caring nature, as she poured love into each stitch.

Judith is survived by her loving sister, Nancy (Chuck) Dye, and brothers, Dean (Candy) Midcap and David (Denise) Midcap. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, including Nicholas (Teresa) Dye, Jennifer (Franky) Morales, Eric (Sarah) Dye, Alethea Davis, Tracy King, Justin Midcap, and Delani Midcap. Judith cherished her role as an aunt and was a source of love and support to her great-nieces and great-nephews: Lyric Bergdorf, Harrison Morales, Jamie Dye, Zack, and Casey King. She was also a proud great-great aunt, leaving behind one great-great niece Zemira and two great-great nephews Chase and Sevyn.

Preceding her in death were her loving parents, Harold D. and Myrtle E. Midcap, who played an integral role in shaping the person she became.

Judith L. Midcap will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her love of family, and her nurturing heart that embraced all those who had the fortune to know her. Her legacy of kindness and connection will continue to inspire and bring comfort to all who hold her memory dear.

Visitation will be Monday April 28th from 10 AM- 12:30PM at Newcomer Funeral Home. Funeral services begin Monday at 12:30 in the funeral home with Pastor John Burton officiating., Final resting place is Hillside Memorial Park.
