Judy A. Sebastian
September 25, 1944 — February 29, 2016
Judy A Sebastian (Angel) September 25, 1944 passed away February 29, 2016. She is survived by husband, Rob Sebastian, Akron, Ohio; her son, Emanuel Ecker VI, Akron, Ohio; her sister, Lynn (Tom) Bardon, Port Orange, Florida; her stepsister Cheri Wolfram (Ken), Somerset, KY; and her stepbrother Tim Semelsberger, Akron, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents James L. Angel and Mildred L. Mooney; her stepmother Gloretta Angel; her sister Andrea Sue Robertson (Angel); and her half-brother Jamie Angel. Judy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with many great nieces and great nephews. She loved going to our large family gatherings where there were at times 6-10 or so little people running around at any given time and capturing her attention. They brought her much joy.
Judy was born and raised in Akron and attended Central-Hower High School. She moved from the area twice, once to Fort Myers, Florida to be with her father as he was aging and then earlier in her life to Las Vegas to be with her sister, Andrea. Both times she returned to Akron because this was where she kept her roots. She worked in the medical field throughout her adult life and loved caring for people. She worked for many years for Dr. Henry Kraus early in her career and retired 5 years ago from Edwin Shaw Hospital where she was known and loved by many. Judy was always ready to find someone in need and offer them her help. This is where she met her husband, Rob, of 25 years. It was Rob's privilege to call her his "bride" at every opportunity that came along.
Judy had deep compassion for both people and animals. Everyone who crossed her path sensed her care and concern for them. Most recently a little dog named Chipper stole her heart. After the passing of her father, Judy brought Chipper home to be her and Rob's companion for 3 years bringing all three of them much joy. Judy enjoyed bird watching and loved listening to their songs.
Friends will be received on March 19, 2016 from 1-2 pm with the Memorial Service to celebrate her life to begin at 2pm at Unity Chapel of Light, 503 Northwest Ave.,Tallmadge, OH 44278. Please, No flowers!!!!!!!!!!!! Memorials may be made in Judy's name to:
