Judy Huff (nee Kiehart)
Judy Huff, of Akron, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. She was born on October 12, 1950 to Lawrence & Agnes Kiehart. Judy grew up in Brimfield and graduated from Field High School in 1968 where she ran track and was a cheerleader all through her high school career. She was crowned Homecoming Queen and graduated 4th in her class. Judy enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with Denny as often as possible and also enjoyed playing BINGO. Anyone who knew Judy knows that she wouldn't want us mourning over her death, but rather celebrating her life. She fought an intense battle over the last six months, set a fine example of living life to the fullest, and never allowed cancer to take over her life and stop her from the joys of life and family. Judy passed in the arms of her loving companion and best friend of 17 years, Dennis Lipscomb, with all who loved her close by. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Kiehart and uncle, Paul Kuzma, both of Spartansburg PA; and her Yorkie, Max. Surviving are her loving mother, Agnes Kiehart of Spartansburg PA; devoted son and daughter, Shon Huff (Tally) of Akron, Amy Frazee (Dan) of N. Canton; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jackson, Kendra and Kennedy, all of whom she loved dearly; step-children, Jason Lipscomb and Jennifer Yoder (Brian), both of Akron; step-grandson, Brandon; also surviving are her brothers, Ed (Jill) of Port St. John FL and Larry (Bambi) of Cocoa FL: sister, Aggie Beverage (Edgar) of Hartville; and many loving nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Judy was loved by many and will be sadly missed. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 - 5 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. In lieu of flowers at Judy's request, donations may be made to an educational fund for her grandchildren in care of Newcomer Funeral Home.
