Judy L. Petty

Judy L. (Isbell) Petty, age 70, of North Canton, Ohio, was taken by angels on August 30, 2013 after battling a long illness. Judy was a secretary at Goodyear for eleven years before becoming a full time homemaker. She was born in Akron, Ohio on October 1, 1942 and was the daughter of the late William Murray Isbell and Rhoda Ann (John 'Moe') Carnes.

Judy is survived by her husband, Kenneth 'Dale' Petty, whom she married on February 2, 1962: one son, Michael Dale (Grace) Petty of Mineral City, Ohio, one daughter, Lynda (Frank) VanScoder of Bowerston, Ohio, her grandchildren; Nolan, Michael, Kimberly Petty, Chloe and Aaron VanScoder, great-grandson, Kyle Petty, four very special cousins, Gerry and Ramona Graham of Raleigh, NC and Jim and Onnolee Donaldson of Green, Ohio, many special relatives and many, many dear friends.

Though her illness limited her to much of the joys in life, when she had a good day, she made the most of it and then some. The importance of family was her top priority. She prayed and laughed and loved with all her heart, and was loved greatly by everyone she touched.

Calling hours will be 2-4 pm on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A private burial service will be held at a later date at Hillside Memorial Park.
