Juell (J.D.) D. Stinnett, 74, of Suffield passed away on January 11, 2019.
Born in Akron OH, he attended East High School and married his high school sweetheart, Irene (Horn) and they raised their two sons, Richard (Atlanta GA) and Danny (Hurley NM) in Suffield.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Estelle; brother, Delbert; and sister, Charlene (Strickland).
J.D. retired after 29 years as a mold finisher from Goodyear Stow Mold plant.
He enjoyed spending time with his loving wife, Irene. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, boating, archery, playing pool and keeping his yard in immaculate shape. JD was known as an exceptional woodworker and made many furniture pieces for family and friends.
He is survived by wife of 57 years, Irene; sons, Richard and Danny; sister-in-law, Bonnie Thompson; nephews, Dale Stinnett of Worthington OH, Johnny Strickland Jr. of Cana VA, and their children; nieces, Kim (Gil) Morehead and their son, Zack, Tammy (David) Williams and their son, and Vickie Strickland; Jim Hill; and his pup, Penny.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
