Julia P. Talkington

Julia P. Talkington, 67, of Akron, unexpectedly passed on June 18, 2017 surrounded by her family and friends. She now joins her husband of 47 years, Verlin in eternity. She worked at Marc's for 26 years and loved to play bingo, cards, casino games and crocheting but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Myrtle Greathouse; and brother, Edward James. Julia is survived by her children, Nancy (Donnie) Loughney, Amy (April) Talkington-Ross and Heidi (Christopher) Sankey; grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah Loughney, Brianne (Brandon) and Emmaleah Finney, James (Rilee) and Mackenzie Fish, and Bishop Sankey; great-grandchildren, Haylie and Hayden Myers; and soon to be, Zola Fish; brother, Earl James, sisters, Helen Burdette, Eileen Greathouse, Hollie (James) Lambert and Mary Varner; and a host of family, friends and co-workers.

Family will receive friends on Sunday June 25, 2017 from 12-2pm with the funeral service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Interment will be on Monday June 26, 2017 at 10:45am at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
