Julius C. Pisanelli, 86, went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2011. He was born to the parents of Philip and Leona on December 31, 1924 in Barberton, OH. He served in World War II along with his twin brother, Nick, in the 717th tank corp. He fought in the European Theatre (Germany, Belgium, France, Holland, England). He was a member of Saint Matthew Catholic Church. Julius served as an usher, Eucharist minister and acolyte. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus Council 4663.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred; sister, Dorothy and great-granddaughter, Tiana.
He is survived by his wife, Ann (Nita); sons, Philip (Ellen), Danny (Marlene), Michael (Barbara); daughters, Juliane, Maria (Don) Krumlauf; grandchildren, Mark, Tina, Gabriella, Dominic, Danielle, Jason, Anthony, Amy, Amanda, Anna, Lucas; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Olive; brother, Nick.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, September 15 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.
