June A. Carter

April 14, 1955 — February 4, 2024

June A. Carter, 68, went home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2024. She was born on April 14, 1955 the daughter of the late Walter Carter and Sally Wolfe. She was a woman of great faith and was a member of Community Gospel Tabernacle. June never failed to brighten up a room with her infectious smile, laughter and love and kindness in her heart. She enjoyed working in her beautiful flower, herb and plant garden. June loved having family and friends over and was well known for her famous meals of goulash, ribs, potato salad and her special southern mac-n-cheese. She had many achievements but her greatest was her love of family and especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Joan Carter; brother Tim Carter; "special" Aunt Marlene Wolfe; and brother-in-law Bernie Kalgreen III.
June is survived by her loving family, her daughters Nichol Petron and January Petron; grandchildren June, Shae, Jocelyn, Jason, Jared, Nate, and Jadynn; great-grandchildren Kimora, Chaston, Khi, Kaiden, Jasiah, Jamieson, Nylah, Mason, and Nolan; siblings Judi Kalgreen, Teri Pierce, and Phillip (Laura) Carter; Uncle John "Pepper" Wolfe; and many special nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00AM on Saturday, February 10th, at Community Gospel Tabernacle (181 E. State St., Barberton).
In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with funeral expenses are welcome to be sent to Judi Kalgreen and the girls (166 E. North St., Akron, 44304)
