June Pouncey

June Pouncey, age 97 of Barberton, Ohio, died on January 19, 2023 at her home.
She was born on January 25, 1925 in Barberton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles Leroy and Linnie (nee Tate) Rineheart.
June was a loving homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, taking care of her husband and children. She loved to play bingo with her sister.
Survivors include her loving husband, Sidney Pouncey, whom she married on June 13, 1959; her two sons, Jamie Pouncey and Joel (Barbara) Pouncey; her former daughter-in-law, Laurie Pouncey; her grandchildren, Jeremiha, Kyle, Jordan, Barbara June Allison and Bannon Pouncey; and one great-granddaughter, Adolynn Pouncey.
June has one surviving sister, Jean Kromer.
Other than her parents, June was preceded in death by her siblings, Charlie Rineheart, Robert Rineheart, Joyce Lackey and Janet Roberts.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron, Ohio.
