June D (Duckworth) Rommel

June D (Duckworth) Rommel, born June 30, 1921, went home to be with the Lord on January 27, 2007. She was born and raised in Copley OH. She was an active member of the First Christian Church in Wadsworth and the American Legion Post in Copley. June was an avid card player and beloved by all her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Maime Duckworth; husbands, James Averill and William G. Rommel. She is survived by her step-daughters, Lois Raynow of Naples FL and Sharen Burkhard of Copley OH; six grandchildren, Tammy, Jim and Rob Burkhard, Joanne (Nate) Schaus, Doug (Marie) Raynow, and Julie Raynow; great-grandchildren, Amber, Angel, and Ashley Murray, Alexis and Amanda Raynow, Dylan Raynow and Claire Schaus; cousins; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Rosemarie Rogers and all their families; dear friends from church, including Pat Andre, Jim, Jan, Ryan, Nathan and Aaron Singleton. Our thanks go to Manor Care of Akron and Heartland Hospice for the care given. Funeral service will be Wednesday January 31, 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 116 E Boyer, Wadsworth OH where friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Christian Church or to Heartland Hospice, 767 E Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron.
