Kandy Jo Sanders, 44, passed away November 20, 2009 after a long illness. She was a member of the Restoration Branch of Dover, Ohio. Kandy was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved being a member and officer of the Daughters of Mokanna. Kandy loved her family and friends and if you could not find her at home, you could always find her at the Grotto hall having fun. She will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Walter and Nancy Chisler; sister, Sherry Bert; husband, Kevin Sanders; children, Andrew Jett and Tara, Adam Jett and Jackie, Alicia Jett, Jennifer and Shawn Miller, Eric Sanders and Stephanie, Kurtis Myers and Kyle Sanders; grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Elissa, Erica, Jaden and Aubrey; 3 nieces and a nephew; many friends; and her faithful companion, Nakita. The family wishes to thank Dr. Nathan Pennell and staff of the Tusig Cancer Center, Cleveland Clinic. A visitation will be held Monday, November 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a Daughters of Mokanna memorial service will take place at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 24, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Stewart's Caring Place, 2955 W.
