Karen Y. Conner, 44, passed away on March 5, 2007. She was born in Wooster, Ohio on January 24, 1963. Karen had been employed as a nurse at Akron General Medical Center. She enjoyed camping and most importantly, spending time with her precious family. Karen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Clark; father-in-law, Malcolm Conner; and grandmother, Gladys Baumgartel. Survivors include her loving husband of 24 years, Richard; mother, Betty; daughters, Candice (Nathan) Strickland and Meghan Conner; son, Jarid Conner; granddaughters, Alivia and Allison; sisters, Lori Smith, Cindy (Jeff) Parr, Jackie (Terry) Conley, Shelly (Tony) Belsito, and Carol Zender; brothers, Rick (Sue) Clark and David (Crystal) Clark; mother-in-law, Anna Conner; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Calling hours will be Thursday, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service Friday, 12 p.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Robert Webb officiating.
