Karen S. Forshey

Karen Forshey, 66, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. She was born and raised in Akron, Ohio and worked for many years at Rubbermaid in Mogadore. She loved volunteering her time with her daughter at the Gus Macker basketball games in Byesville, Ohio and the food pantries around Cambridge. Her hobbies included playing FarmVille 2 Country Escape and other games with family. Karen enjoyed drinking coffee in the morning and Pepsi in the afternoon, watching her television shows and listening to her country music.

Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Earl James Forshey Sr.; son, James Earl Forshey; and parents, Robert and June Johnston.
She is survived by her children, Earl (Bobbie) Forshey Jr. and daughter, Brandy K. Masters; grandchildren, Justice, Ashley, Donald, James, Dakota, Jasmine, Rhonda, Jah'Niya, Russell, Joy and Dylan; great-grandson, Zaden; siblings, Gerald (Debbie) Johnston, Ronald (Joyce) Johnston, Janet Stewart and Mary (Ed) Paulus; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Sunday, March 14 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. in Akron. A service honoring Karen's life will begin at 1:00pm.
