Karen Leanne McCutcheon
Karen Leanne McCutcheon, 63, of Akron, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2013. She was born on April 30, 1949 to the late Clyde and Wilma Shields.
Karen was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. Karen was employed at SGS Tool and Die Company. For many years she was a disc jockey and worked at various antique car shows. She was devoted to her family and her beloved pets.
Karen was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Mays and brothers, Bill and Gary Shields. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, James; daughters, Lisa Simmons, Crystal (Joe) Gray, and Lori Simmons; sister, Norma Madden; brothers, Orman (Geraldine) and Robert (Connie) Shields; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; special niece, Theresa Stillman.
Visitation will be Monday January 14 from 7-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A memorial service will be Saturday January 26 at 2:30 p.m. at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, 3819 Johnson Rd., Norton, with Pastor Cecil Farmer officiating.
