Karen Louise Virden, age 76, of Tallmadge, Ohio, died on January 22, 2022 at her home.
She was born on March 4, 1945 in Akron, the daughter of the late Carl W. and Sarah (nee Semick) Wooley Sr.
Karen enjoyed baking, going to the beach, and bass fishing with her husband, however, her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Shelley Williams, Harold E. Virden Jr "Hedge Jr." and Jason (Alesha) Virden; her grandchildren, Jessica (Steven) Spencer, Olivia Highsmith, Jordie Tyo, Taya Thomas and Louie Virden; her great-grandchildren, Kennedi, Emma, Kason, Leia and Ryder.
Her siblings also survive, Carol Miller and Carl W. (Maggie) Wooley Jr.
Other than her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Virden Sr. "Hedge Sr." on January 19, 2022, they were united in marriage on June 15, 1963.
There will not be any services or calling hours and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
