Karon Lea Briggs (Nee Whitcher)

Karon Lea Briggs, 55, went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2012. Karon was born on February 3, 1957 in Ravenna to Robert and Jeanette Whitcher. She was a member of Gateway Worship Center and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Brooke. Karon enjoyed shopping, traveling, decorating her home, spending time outdoors and with her cherished family. She loved being an identical twin to Karol Gibson and attending the annual Twinsburg Twins Days Festival.

Preceded in death by her father, Robert Whitcher; brother, Clayton Whitcher; and 2 infant nephews, Ronald Ray, Jr. and Christopher Donald Whitcher.

She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Kerry, of 32 years; daughter, Leah (Justin) Kieffer; son, Jordan (Mary Beth) Briggs; granddaughter, Brooke; mother, Jeanette; brother, Ron (Beth) Whitcher; sister, Karol (Brad) Gibson; niece, Rochelle (Gregg) Metz; nephew, Ryan Gibson; and many church family and friends. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 4-8 p.m., at Bethany Mennonite Church, 3497 Edison St., Hartville, OH, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30.
