Katelyn A. Catalano

Katelyn A. Catalano, 34, passed away unexpectedly at home on October 18, 2024. Born in Akron, Ohio on October 25, 1989, she was a lifelong area resident. Katelyn graduated from Lake High School and then went on to work at The Bistro of Green for many years. She enjoyed her horse as well as other animals, dog sitting, crafting, having fun with those around her and spending time with her family. Katelyn was known for her bubbly personality and her infectious laugh.

Preceded in death by her grandfather "papa", Joseph Scarbrough, she will be sadly missed by her mother, Laura (Steve) Hankins: father, Steven Jr. (Dawn) Catalano; sister, Sarah Catalano; life partner, Brett Monnot; grandparents, Steve and Patsy Catalano; step-siblings, Sterling, Ricky, Ariel; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, October 28, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Mount Peace Cemetery in Hartville, Ohio. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Katelyn's name to the animal rescue organization of their choice.

After the committal service at the cemetery, there will be a Katelyn Catalano Celebration of Life from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. at The Celebration Palace, 240 Kent Ave NE, Hartville, Ohio 44632.
