Katharine H. Howell

Katharine H. Howell, 92, passed away on July 23, 2011. Born October 16, 1918. Katharine had been employed at O'Neil's for over 25 years. She was a volunteer at Hower House and held various offices at Toast Mistress. Katharine had been a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church. She will be missed by daughter, Rita (Jerry) Rochte, of Wisconsin; grandsons, Tim (Petra), of California, and Matthew, of Illinois; great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Katharine; niece, Barbara Starcher; nephew, George Gaugler; and sister-in-law, Theresa Gaugler. A memorial service will be held Friday, 10 am, at Falls Village, 330 Broadway East, Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hower House, 60 Fir Hill, Akron, OH 44325-2401 or St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd., Akron, OH 44319.
