Katherine I. Dillon, age 85 of Springfield Twp., Ohio, passed away on January 27, 2023.
She was born on February 12, 1937 in Dehue, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Francis and Jean (nee Griffith) Steele. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Richard D. Steele and sister-in-law, Betty J. Steele-Roop.
Katherine was a beautician at Kitty Hatfield's Beauty Shop and a K-Mart associate for many years. She loved spending time with her family and always tried to make you laugh or smile.
Katherine is survived by her only daughter, Sherry (Wesley James) Ridenour of Akron; her grandchildren, Amber Bradley of Kent, Sarah Belenski of Kent, Cassandra (Derek) Lutz of Barberton and Devon Ridenour of Akron; her great-grandchildren, Logan Bradley, Lunabella, Twila and Rowen Lutz; her brother, W. Boyd (Margie) Steele; four nephews, one niece and several other family members and friends that mourn her loss.
There will not be any calling hours or services at this time and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, contact the family for any information.
