Katherine A. Johnston, 76, of N. Canton and Green, went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2005. Katherine, a devout Christian, was devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren, and was bound and determined to keep her family together. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Lela Arney; sister, Nina Vinay; and brothers, Melvin and Claude Arney. She is survived by her husband, Paul; children, Sandra Praznik, Catherine "Lorie" Martin, Cecile (Pete) Tepus, Raymond (Dolores) Maynard II, Debra (Thomas) Henley, and Paulette (Jimmy) Branch; sisters, Pauline Dunlap and Eddress Popian; grandchildren, Gregory (Kim) Cromley, Melanie Praznik, Allen Boggs, Daniel (Brandy) Booth, Rachelle (Jeff) Lipscomb, Raymond (Stephanie) Maynard III, Tangi Maynard, Bryan Tepus, Thomas Henley II, Brandy Tepus, Tana Henley, Tiffany Henley, Timothy Henley, Trenton Maynard, and Savanna Maynard; great-grandchildren, Paige, Brigette, and Chase Cromley and Tristan Booth. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Church, 1800 Steese Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
