Katherine L. Keenan

Katherine L. Keenan (nee Lucas), 86, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013 at her home. She was born on July 26, 1927 in Akron, Ohio to the late Andrew and Katherine Lucas. She was married to Frank H. Keenan in 1948. Katherine was an active member of the First Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed traveling, dining out and took great pride in maintaining her yard and home. Katherine retired from Goodyear Legal Department after 50 years of service. The loves of her life were her family, her home and her church.

She is survived by her son, Frank A. Keenan of Tallmadge, OH, sisters, Barbara Lowry of Barberton, OH and Rayma Boyle of Oklahoma City, OK, many cherished nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank H. Keenan, sister, Adella Gross and brother, Andrew Lucas.

Friends may call 10-11 am on Friday, August 9, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 9, 2013 , following visitation, at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
