Katherine K. Marusek, 98, of Akron, passed away April 12, 2006. Katherine retired after seventeen years of service at Akron General Medical Center. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling and bingo. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 37 years, Mike Marusek; children, Delores Claiborne, Vincent (Jean) Opalka, Katherine Grysmala, and Sandra Opalka; sister, Helen; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
