Katherine Overholt

Katherine Overholt, age 101, of Akron, passed away on August 15, 2024. She was born on December 20, 1922 in Honaker, Virginia to the late Edward Moses and Mary Jane (Pendergrass) Harris. She had a lifelong career as a banking teller with Goodyear Bank/ PNC Bank. She was a long time member of the First Church of God in Tallmadge where she served on the offering/finance committee and on the JoAnn Pantry ministry. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings such as the holidays and birthdays.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Overholt June 4, 2024; son Carl Edward Hale and daughter-in-law Marie; and two previous husbands. She is survived by her step-sons Wayne and Ken (Pam); and other relatives and loving friends.

Visitation will be Thursday August 22nd from 10 AM- 11 AM at First Church of God in Tallmadge. The funeral will begin at 11 AM officiated by Pastors Charles Erbe and Doug Walter. Final resting place is Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
