Katherine Williams

Katherine M. Williams, age 62 of Akron, Ohio, died on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 9:34 PM at Arbors of Fairlawn.
She was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio on May 6, 1953 the daughter of Patricia Mayhew Speicher of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and the late Vernon Speicher.
Katherine was a teacher for Head Start in the Akron School District for 15 years, teaching was her life.
Other than her mother, survivors include her children, Joseph A. (Kimberly) Williams,II, Andrew Williams, Christopher (Bobbie) Williams, and Sara (John) Williams, and nine grandchildren. Her siblings, Margaret Clark, and Larry (Sandi) Speicher, also survive.
Other than her father, Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Williams, I on February 22, 2015.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM where Father Matthew E. Pfeiffer will celebrate Katherine's life. Family and friends may visit at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 5-7 PM. Preceding the 11:00 Mass, morning prayers will be held at the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
