Kathi Shinn, 55, passed away April 21, 2010 surrounded by her close family members. She attended the University of Akron, was an artist in many media including stained glass, and painting, and was an avid gardener. Kathi worked at Tribute, Inc. as a Tech Support Rep for 10 years. Preceded in death by her sister, Therese Gall. Kathi is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Robert; daughters, Alecia & Tiffany Rearick; mother, Pat Sollinger; father, Richard Sollinger; sisters, Monica (James) Crawford, Suzanne (Carl) Holt, and Bernadette Askia; brothers, Steve (Joy) Sollinger, Joe Sollinger, David (Debbie) Sollinger, and Eric (Ann) Sollinger; brother-in-law, Bill Gall; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, and friends; and beloved pets, Spike, Chaos, and Boo. Calling hours will be held Sunday, April 25, from 1 to 4 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 8, from 11 am to 2 pm at The Octagon Pavilion, 801 Truxell Rd., Boston Twp., Peninsula, OH 44264.
