Kathie I. Bunts,62, died unexpectedly on November 25, 2009 at Akron City Hospital. She was born July 1, 1947 in Akron, Ohio to the late Glenn & Margaret (Cushman) Givler. Kathie was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. She was active with the Embroiderer's Guild of America, Inc. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald W. Bunts, brother-in-law Patrick Murphy. She is survived by her sons, Michael W.(Janet) Bunts and Larry J. (Emily) Bunts; grandchildren, Tyler, Lily, Connor and Aidan; sister, Paula A. Murphy; nieces, Ann (Brian) Kooyman and Patricia Murphy and Fiance Tyrone Nixon; very special friend, Carla Waggoner. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where a funeral ceremony will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
