Kathleen Irene Beers

Kathleen Irene Beers, 62, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2024. Born in Akron, Ohio, she was a lifelong area resident. She worked at Picasso Cleaners for many years. Kathy enjoyed her many pets, traveling with her brother Dave, playing cards while listening to country music with her dad, watching true crime shows as well as medical shows and spending time with her family.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Beers; daughter, Ashley Herold; step-daughter, Tracy Doolittle; mother, Shirley Price; sister, Patty Thompson. She will be sadly missed by her father, Dennis Price; children, Liz (Kyle) Illingworth, Kevin Byrd, Elyse Beers; step-children, Heather Beers, Shannon Beers; grandchildren, Jazmin, Olivia, Alexis, Addison, Braxton, Ryan, Andrew; siblings, David (Tammy) Jeffrey, Eric (Melanie) Price, Robin (Charlie) Hanson, Theresa Love, Leslie Bucchan; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The memorial service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Kathy's name to the charity of their choice.
