Kathleen "Kathy" M. Bergman

Kathleen “Kathy” Bergman (Mehalic) passed away on February 20, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones.

Kathy was born on August 27, 1937 in Derry, PA to George and Helen (Yuscanitch) Mehalic. She graduated from Derry Township High School then furthered her education at Latrobe Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. After graduation, she married James “Jim” Bergman and moved to Ravenna, OH, where she worked and retired from Robinson Memorial Hospital. While planting roots in Ravenna, she and Jim raised their four children. 

Kathy is survived by daughter, Vicki Ladd (Robert “T”) of Rootstown, and sons Robert of Ravenna and Keith (Cassie) of Rootstown, brothers Joe (Betty) Mehalic of Derry, PA, Tom (Doloros) Mehalic of Marguerite, PA, sister Eleanor (Dave) Yakel of Manassas, VA, sister-in-law Darlene Mehalic of Tullahoma, TN, sister-in-law Mary Mehalic of Latrobe, PA, and brother-in-law Bill Pavlik of Cecil, PA, along with 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. 

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, James Bergman, son Randy Bergman, parents George and Helen Mehalic, brothers George Mehalic, John “Jack” Mehalic and sister Mary “Cookie” Pavlik. 

Per her request, Kathy was cremated with no calling hours and will be buried in Maplegrove Cemetery in Ravenna, OH.
