Kathleen June Tanner (nee Burdeshaw)
Kathleen June Tanner, 50, passed away on June 14, 2011. Kathy was born in Akron, OH on April 12, 1961. She enjoyed her children, crafting stained glass, gardening, and visiting with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Burdeshaw. Survivors include her husband, Tommy, of 31 years; mother, Doris Burdeshaw; daughter, Katie; sons, Chris and Shawn; sisters and brothers, Denise, Michelle, Jon, and Scott Burdeshaw; numerous nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends. Calling hours will be Sunday, 2-6 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. If desired, donations may be made to Stewart's Caring Place, 2955 W. Market St., Akron, OH 44333.
