Together Again
Kathleen Landon, 92, went to Heaven with Jesus October 25, 2022. Born in Marion, Ohio to Robert and Lula (Carnes) Park, she mainly lived in the Akron area during her adult life, also spending 7 years in Houston, Texas. Kathleen worked at the Gulf Coast Bible College in the cafeteria as a salad maker and also as a babysitter for over 17 years. She enjoyed reading the Bible, singing, going to Chapel Hill Mall, being around children and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jack Landon; 11 siblings. She will be sadly missed by her children, Nancy (Calvin) Rittenhouse, Jeff Landon; grandchildren, Eric (Rosie), Jen (Dan); 9 great grandchildren; brother, Darrel Park.
Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Kathleen will later be laid to rest with her husband at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Kathleen's name to Akron Children's Hospital.
