Kathleen May (Jones) Rearick
Kathleen Rearick77, of Akron, passed away December 15, 2013. She was born in Jackson County, Ohio on April 15, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. Jones and Stella (Booth) Tannehill; husband, Richard Rearick; and sister, Nancy Jones. She will be deeply missed by her children, Mark, Robert, and Charles (Julie) Rearick; brothers, Dennis and Jack "John" Jones; grandchildren, Jeremy Rearick, Alex (Melissa) Rearick, Tyler Rearick, Caitlyn Knisley, Susan Rearick, Andrew Rearick, Jonathan Rearick, Sarah Rearick, Hannah Rearick, Justin Rearick, and Danielle Rearick.
After all this, what is important and should be remembered about her is this: she had a sense of humor, loved to play cards (win or lose), and loved her family with all her heart. I remember her asking me starting at about the age of fourteen when she was going to be a grandmother. As you see, she had three boys and would have had six if she could. She did have to wait a few years but as you see she did get her wish: she had eleven grandchildren in all. She will always be remembered because she loved her husband Richard in good times and bad times, and was a woman of faith and an active member in her church, New Horizons Christian Church (Disciples of Faith).
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m. at New Horizons Christian Church, 290 Darrow Rd., Akron.
