Kathy Lynn Covey

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Kathy Lynn Covey, age 61, of Akron, on Friday, February 10, 2017. She was born April 26, 1955 to Billie and Kathryn Young. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Kathryn, and sister, Billie. She is survived by her father, Billie Young; loving sons, Matthew and James; daughter-in-law, Carolyn; granddaughters, Kaitlyn "Katie", Alicia, Natalie and Marissa; sisters, Linda (Jim) Leslie and Sandra (John) Clark; she had many nieces and nephews and was especially close to her niece, Tracy.

Family will welcome guests for a visitation from 4-6pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Burial will take place at 11am on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd., Akron. The family would like to thank the staff at Summit Villa and Aseracare Hospice for the care Kathy received.
