Kathy Jean Ritenour

Kathy Jean Ritenour, 73, of Hartville, passed away on April 21, 2024 at Altercare of Hartville. She was born in Akron on January 28, 1951 to the late Edward "Rist" and Jean {Britton} Ritenour.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Wanda Ritenour.

Kathy is survived by her loving siblings Brian (Sheri) Ritenour, Sally (Bill) Dyck and David (Jenny) Ritenour; nieces and nephews and their families.

Kathy was a longtime member of The Chapel. She loved to read, and had a special passion for sending letters to shut-ins and the people she loved, in hopes of bringing smiles to their faces.

All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Monday, April 29th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Don Bechtel officiating. Private interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, where Kathy will be laid to rest with her parents.
