Kay F. Elder
April 10, 1942 — February 21, 2020
Kay F. Elder, 77, passed away February 21, 2020 at Windsong Care Center. She resided in Akron, Ohio all of her adult life and taught sign language at the Akron area hospitals. Kay greatly enjoyed swimming, drawing, adult coloring books Bible study and she loved Jesus most of all.
Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, she will be sadly missed by close friends, Gerry Green, Ken Steele, Greg and Cindy Frink, Jaye Watson, and many others, including the members of Singing Hands Sign Choir, which she helped found.
Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Those who wish may make memorial donations in Kay's name to the charity of their choice.
