Kay L. Kirkman, 65, of Akron, passed away on August 15, 2006. Born in Akron on June 9, 1941 to the late William and Garnet Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Anna Lee Petrie. Survivors include her husband and companion of 32 years, Jerry; sons Donnie and Michael Hartline, both of Akron; granddaughter Lyndsey Nicole Hartline; brother William T. Evans, Jr. of Akron; and dear nieces Suzanne Plymire, of Akron, and Vicki Kirby, of Virginia. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron with Rev. Harold Lee Miller officiating. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be made at www.Newcomerfamily.com.
