Keith C. Bennett

Keith C. Bennett, 79, of Akron, passed away December 3, 2007 at Akron City Hospital. He was born December 24, 1927 in Copenhagen NY to the late Earl & Anna Bennett. Keith proudly served in the U.S. Army. He restored John Deere Tractors and previously worked at Newell Leasing and Paul Watts Trucking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe; and sisters, Nila, Pat, Grace, Jean, Evelyn and Helen. Keith is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy (Claycomb) Bennett; children, Patti Edwards, Anna Marie Farrar both of Vincennes IN, Robert Bennett (Beth) of Lebanon PA, Debra Earl (Daniel) of Akron OH, Carla Ringer (Jeff) of Canton OH and Julie Jett of Akron OH; grandchildren, Joseph, Tracy, Andrew, Adam, Jessica, Daniel, Brianna and Millie; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances and Betty. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 12 pm with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
