Ken Goodwin

Ken Goodwin, 77, passed away peacefully June 23, 2024 at home. Born in Akron, Ohio to James and Irene (Allshouse) Goodwin, he was a lifelong area resident. Ken retired from Akron Public Schools and he was a proud U. S. Army Veteran. A regional bowling pro who was an avid bowler, he also enjoyed spending time with his family and his great danes.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by brothers, David Goodwin, James Goodwin. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 29 years, Dee; children, Karen Goodwin, Kenny (Michelle) Goodwin; grandchildren, Kevin, Jade, Jared; siblings, Rick (Susan) Goodwin, Don (Becky) Goodwin, Joe Goodwin, Debbie (John) Bonnette; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, July 1, 2024 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron, Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Ken's name to ASPCA.
