Ken Pruitt

Kenneth M. Pruitt, 87, of Stow, passed away July 26, 2005. Kenneth was born in Yale, Tennessee on October 7, 1917 to the late Woodie and Bertha Pruitt. Kenneth was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from BF Goodrich. He was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church and was a 32nd degree Mason. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his son, David Fletcher and brothers, Bob and Fred Pruitt. He is survived by his wife of 54 1/2 years, Ruby; daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Robert Murphy of Randolph; sister, Kathleen Simmons of Tennessee; grandchildren, Bob (Lori) Murphy and Kathy (Todd) Jordan; great-grandchildren, Alison Murphy and Mike, Dana, and Robby Jordan; sister-in-law, Mildred Pruitt; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Russell Varner officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
