Kenneth B. Starcher, 81, of Akron, passed away November 6, 2008. Kenneth was born January 12, 1927 in Calhoun County, West Virginia. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from B&W as a supervisor. Uncle KB was a very caring person and was always there if you needed him. You could always count on him. He truly loved and cared for our family. He was a good friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Lorease. He leaves behind his daughter, Sandy of Ohio; son, Kenneth W. of Florida; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, relatives, and friends. Special thanks to Stan and Rhonda for being such good friends and neighbors to Uncle KB and special thanks to Dr. Shaub and Dr. Nemer and the staff at Summa Critical Care and Palliative Care. Special thanks to Deanna, Uncle KB's nurse at Hospice and Mary and Dave for all their love and care through the years. Funeral services will be Monday at 12 p.m. with visitation from 10-12 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
