Kenneth George Bean, "Kenny", age 69, passed away, unexpectedly, at his home in Springfield Twp. on December 20, 2020.
Kenny was a graduate of Springfield High School, Class of 1970, where he wrestled and played football
for the Springfield Spartans. He was always very athletic in his youth. Kenny played some baseball and was an excellent swimmer and diver. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and the great outdoors.
He had studied HVAC repair at the University of Toledo. For many years Kenny worked security
at some of the larger rock concerts in the area and as a result met many celebrities.
Ken loved his country and was a true Patriot in every sense of the word having served in the United States Army.
He liked working with his hands refinishing antique furniture and also enjoyed working on cars. His passion was restoring an old 65 Pontiac Lemans. And, of course, he was a lifetime Cleveland Browns fan.
Most of all he loved just spending time with his grandchildren. He was a wonderful Husband, Dad, and "Papaw".
Kenny will be deeply missed by both his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Dorothy Bean and Brother Ronald Bean (Audrey).
Survivors include his wife, Carol Michelle Bean; step-daughter, Ashlie Haag; grandchildren, Ariel and Nathan; and his sister, Frances (Ken) Stefanko.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
