Kenneth D. Casto Sr, 90 years old, of Stow OH, passed away peacefully from Congestive Heart Failure with his loving family by his side on Monday January 9, 2017.
He was born on December 7, 1926 in Marrieta Falls, OH, the son of Lloyd and Elizabeth (Nelly) Casto. Kenneth proudly served his country in the Korean war as a U.S. Army Veteran. He had a passion for football, bowling, politics, wrestling and his whiskey. He also was a member of the Eagles Club for many years. He retired from Massey Ferguson.
Kenneth has rejoined his loving wife of 55 years, Maureen C. Casto. He is survived by his four children Kenneth Casto Jr., Kimberly Thompson, Jeffrey Casto and Jennifer Redington; grandchildren Samantha (Adam) Richards, Dustin (Kaley) Magnus, Ashley (Marc) Hutchinson, Brittany Magnus and Alecia Redington, and great-grandchildren Riley, Layla, Addison, Delaney and Jack.
The Family would like to thank the amazing team at Akron General Hospital Critical Care Unit for their help and compassion.
He was loved by many and will forever be treasured in the hearts that he touched.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 11 am until time of funeral service at noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Burial will follow at 2 pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
