Kenneth D. Crew, Sr.

Kenneth D. Crew, Sr., 88, went Home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2024. Born in Akron, Ohio to Orlan and Freda Crew, he was a lifelong Mogadore resident. Ken retired from Goodyear with 42 years of service. He sang with The Evangelairs and also The Songsters Quartet. Ken enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching sports and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 60 years, Kay; his second wife, Janet; siblings, Robert Crew, David Crew, James Crew, Norma Starn, June Petty. He will be sadly missed by his children, Kenny (Cindy) Crew, Kelly (Kathy) Crew, Konnie (Rick) Taylor; grandchildren, Kandi, David, Krysten, Michelle, Shanon, Korey, Kyndell, Krystie; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; special friend, Pat Calcei.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Gordon Hayberg officiating. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Ken's name to the Mogadore Fire Department.
