Kenneth J. Frech, 91, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on January 2, 2018 after an extended struggle with dementia. Ken was born on September 29, 1926 in Creekside, PA. He served in the US Army in the Philippines during WW II. Ken graduated from St. V incent College with a chemistry degree and from Penn State University with his master's in chemical engineering. He retired from Goodyear after having earned them over 75 patents for various chemical processes. His biggest delight was to serve his Lord and Savior as a Sunday School teacher who was gifted at explaining Biblical Prophecies and Revelations. He taught God's Word to all who would listen. Ken also helped to finance and direct the Tallmadge Christian School. One of his favorite pastimes was to recount the mischief and adventures that he and his siblings engaged in as they were growing up in rural western Pennsylvania.
Ken was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Peggy); sisters Irene and Eleanor; brother Donald. He is survived by his wife, Doris; son Kenneth R (Drexie) and daughter, Susan; step-sons Larry (Vicki), Homer and Sterling (Arnita); 13 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; brother (and special friend) John.
Family will receive friends on Saturday January 6, 2018 from 2:00 -3:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service immediately following at Grace Baptist Church, 704 N. Firestone Blvd. Akron, Ohio 44306. Pastor Robert Stephens officiating. Burial will be held in Home, PA at a later date.
