AKRON/WADSWORTH Kenneth E. Gilligan, 79, passed away June 17, 2006. Kenneth proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by Sieberling Rubber Co. for 34 years and later by Buehler's for 13 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wadsworth and the Masonic Lodge #385. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 50 years, Juanette; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gary Saffles of Tallmadge; son, Brian Gilligan of Wadsworth; and grandson, Tyler Gilligan. The family would like to thank the staff at Summit Villa and the Hospice nurses at Akron City Hospital for all the care given to Kenneth. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Penrod officiating.
