Kenneth Boyd Griner Jr. "Doc", 57, of Barberton, passed away on April 22, 2022. Doc was born in Barberton on May 18, 1964. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his generous spirit, and his big smile. Doc would help anyone in need and always leant an ear to those who needed to talk. Every conversation ended with Doc telling you to "Have a blessed day." In his free time, he loved riding his Harley. He also enjoyed attending Community Holiness Church. One of his greatest joys was being a grandfather.
Doc was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Griner Sr.; mother, Marylou Gilkey; sister, Linda Troha; and brother, Mike Troha. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Lisa Griner; significant other, Lenora Croft; son and daughter-in-law, Chip and Brittany Boylen; stepchildren, Joseph Kingsbury and Amber Kingsbury; brothers, Terry (Janis) Troha, Rick Wallace, and David Wallace; grandchildren, Marlee Boylen, Summer Croft, and Romeo Mosby; in-laws, Carl and Pam Boylen, Dennis and April Damsa, Clyde and Margie (deceased) Blankenship, and Ron and Laura Travis; and many friends including best friends, Robert Foster and Joe Jarrett.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 2-5 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
