Kenneth "Ken" James Lelonek, 65, passed away quietly on January 15, 2020 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Buffalo, New York and moved to the Akron area in the 70s.
Kenneth served in the Army during the Vietnam War and worked for Akron Porcelain and Plastics for over forty years. He was also a member of VFW Post #8975.
Ken enjoyed the simple things in life including fishing, camping, model trains, barbecuing, listening to music, and watching football with a beer in hand.
Other than his parents, Richard and Eleanor (nee Ignaszak), Ken is preceded in death by special friend; Mona Hayhurst.
Ken is survived by his daughter; Sarah (Ryan Carr) Lelonek; foster daughter, Michelle Jones; siblings, Sandra (James) Golden, Sharon (George) Fraas, Michael (Susan), Paul (Betty), Deborah (late Keith) Wendel, Mark (Elaine), Robert (Kathleen), Timothy (Danette), Denise (late Raymond) Parylo, Ronald (Lisa), Linda (Eric) Landsman and Wendy (James) Montante; many nieces and nephews; friends, Julie Bailes, who he worked with for many years, Aimee Lelonek and family; neighbor, Doug Lott; and many other cherished family and friends.
